World skyline bespoke splashback

Glartique met this imaginative client when we were exhibiting at Surface Design 2016. They were very excited about our magnetic London skyline splashback but wanted ‘a few personal touches’. We met up with the couple the very next day and the ‘few personal elements’ turned out to be 38 bespoke elements that captured their exciting world travels over the years. We very carefully worked all of the bespoke elements, buildings, countries and personal objects into the design, making sure each building was reasonably proportionate to reality, and the flow of the countries worked west to east. Our client did not want to have a split in the glass and were willing to wait for our new 3m printer to be installed. So at 2750mm wide this bespoke kitchen splashback is printed in one piece at HD 1400 dpi installed in an immaculate 2 bedroom flat on the 22nd floor in the...

Glartique-bespoke-printed-splashback-with-Mudeford-beach-huts-2

Glartique-bespoke-printed-splashback-with-Mudeford-beach-huts. Our client lives in Mudeford by the sea near Bournemouth. It was this area that inspired the original Glartique Mudeford beach hut design. This new bespoke design was created to give a different view of the beach huts and to add some bespoke personal elements. Our client used to have 2 very sweet wire-hair fox terriers that passed away and wanted them to be depicted in the artwork full of life and curiosity. Our client also loves the Red arrows and they do a fly over every year during Mudeford Arts week in August, so we included these too as well as some classical swans that love to breed in the bay. To integrate the plug sockets we used permanent vinyl perfectly lined up to match the artwork. We usually integrate sockets into the design with something holding them like a helicopter with straps coming down to the socket. This was the first time we’ve used vinyl to match the artwork and we think it works very nicely. This lovely kitchen was designed and installed by Matt Hardy of Hallmark Kitchen and Design in Bournemouth. Working with a friendly and collaborative kitchen company like Hallmark always makes our bespoke printed kitchen splashback projects run...

The Power of Pomegranate printed splashback

Printed Art Splashback This artwork was created while experimenting with using natural dyes to create artworks. Using the power of nature and the natural stains and pigments felt very liberating. I took a series of super slow motion videos of squashing the pomegranate cells and I was mesmerized by the captured moments of the each explosion. The Power of Pomegranate captures the beauty and moment in time of my process, which turned out to be one of the most cathartic artworks I have created recently. The Power of Pomegranate looks stunning printed direct to glass as a kitchen...
